Meetista ("the app") is operated by InTechual Solutions, India. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Contact: support@meetista.com.

Who can use Meetista

Meetista is a dating and social app for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use it.

What we collect

• Account: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and a Google account ID. Your email is never shown to other users.
• Profile: first name, year of birth, gender, who you want to see, what you are looking for, interests, optional work and height, "About me" text, city and country. Other signed-in users can see your profile.
• Photos: photos you upload. Each one is checked automatically for nudity and violence before anyone can see it (with an on-server model and, for unclear cases, Google Cloud Vision). We re-encode every photo, which removes hidden data such as GPS location.
• Verification selfie (optional): if you choose to get verified, you take a selfie in the app. Our server compares the face in it with the faces in your profile photos to check they are the same person, using an on-server model. The selfie is deleted as soon as the check finishes, it is never shown to anyone, and we do not keep any face data from it or from your photos. We only record whether you are verified and which of your photos matched, so the badge can be removed if you delete those photos.
• Location (optional): if you allow it, we use your phone's location (precise, or approximate if you choose that in your phone's settings). Your profile stores only a grid cell of roughly 1 km, used to find people near you. Your precise position is kept in a private record that only our server can read, and is used only to work out distances. Other users see a distance in whole kilometres, such as "3 km away" (never less than "1 km away"), and never where you are. When you stop sharing location, your precise position is deleted.
• Likes, matches and messages: who you like, your matches, the messages you send to matches, and when you last read a chat (shown to your match as read receipts).
• Safety: reports you make, people you block, and reports made about you.
• Purchases: if we offer paid features in future, we receive subscription status from Google Play. We never receive your card or bank details.

How we use it

To run the app, show you people you may want to meet, create matches and deliver messages, keep the community safe (moderating photos, handling reports, removing people who break the rules) and verify that profiles are genuine. Meetista has no ads. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

• Other users see your profile and photos, and your matches see the messages you send them.
• Service providers: Google Firebase and Google Cloud (sign-in, database, storage, photo and selfie checks). Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers.
• Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your profile, photos, likes, matches, messages and login straight away. Reports are kept for up to 90 days so we can act on safety issues, then deleted automatically.

Your choices and rights

• Edit your profile and photos, or stop sharing location, in the app at any time.
• Delete your account in Me > Delete account, or see meetista.com/delete-account.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by writing to support@meetista.com.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
